When a vehicle stops during operation, inertia causes it to move towards the vehicle as it comes to a halt. Conventional vehicle,
without built-in braking systems, are often separated from the vehicle or overturned when the vehicle comes to a sudden stop, leading to serious accidents or multivehicle collisions. For electrically connected braking devices which transmit a brake signal to the vehicle to stop via a brake drum, there is still the problem of the connection to the vehicle being damaged by the inertia of the vehicle. The inertial brake system remedies the problem and prevents the vehicle from being overturned or separated from the vehicle.
